Acknowledge an event or environment that will require you to prioritize to achieve the end result.
What is the event or environment?
Why does this need to be prioritized?
Why does it need a time limit?
Focus on the “One” can produce success in the “Many”.
By prioritizing you’re limiting the actions that will assure you success. The importance of prioritizing is that it enables you to find what won’t work in a couple hours, rather than a couple weeks or maybe months.
Prioritizing makes you make decisions that you otherwise would not make, which in the end gets you to your goal faster and easier.
The worst time to prioritize, however, is when you have to trade-off something that would not have had to be done had you prioritized from the beginning. At this point, you tend to have fewer options, resources, and likely already are pre-committed to something else. Additionally, to fix a problem tends to be expensive since monies were not allocated upfront.
Prioritizing allows you to continually update your planning
